The experiences you have and the memories you make with your horse last a lifetime! At Sunflower Ranch, we want to help you create those memories! Meet Sunflower Ranch’s owners Chris Tagg and Mahli Hayes. In 2020, Chris and Mahli bought their property in Ramona wanting to be able to have their horse closer to them… so close they could look out their own door and see her! Since the property had been used to board horses in the past, Chris and Mahli put some elbow grease and sweat into making it shine. They wanted to give others the opportunity to have a place to enjoy their horse too! After the tragic death of Mahli’s aunt in 2020, the ranch was named Sunflower Ranch after her aunt’s favorite flower.

Sunflower Ranch offers a quaint place for your horse to call home in beautiful Ramona, California. Sunflower Ranch operates as a full-time boarding facility and the host one of the largest Equine Obstacle Courses in San Diego, California. We provide your horse a comfortable horse stall with excellent quality hay twice a day, daily stall cleaning, and fresh water. Our boarding facility features a large arena and round pen for use, and is located near multiple trailheads. We put on fun activities for you and your horse including our popular obstacle courses! The Equine Obstacle Courses that are hosted at Sunflower Ranch are a great way to desensitize your horse to objects and obstacles that they might encounter on trail or even during competitions and shows.
